It’s hard to let this one go. This property is 170 acres (70.9468 hectares) of beautiful wooded hills. We’ve planted 5,000 redwood trees, 200 Australian blackwoods, 100 kauri, 300 fir trees and 30,000 pines. There are two flowing streams and a small waterfall. There is a concrete bridge across the stream onto the property.

There were eight acres of 25-year old pines, which have been recently harvested by our neighbor, Carter Holt, who has approximately 10,000 acres adjoining our land. Another group of pines are approximately 10 years old. The remaining trees were planted six years ago. In addition, there are a number of native bush areas. The six-year old redwoods are up to 8” in diameter, blackwoods up to 4” in diameter, and pines up to 14” in diameter. The natives are of various sizes.

We have built our home on an adjoining 80 acres and were hoping to sell and build on the 170 acres. Our planner and our surveyor have told us we could start to sub-divide but we will leave that to the new owners to divide and place home sites as they desire. Already around us a number of new sub-divisions are being built so there is definite development potential.

The current motorway (freeway) is under construction and has been completed from Auckland to Orewa with construction currently underway to Puhoi. It is planned to continue from there to end with an exit at Kaipara Flats Road, which is our main roadway.

On the 170 acres there are a number of good viewing areas, which would make good house sites. There are limited sea views. We have installed approximately four kilometers of tracks/small roads to get around the property.

The land can be used immediately for an unbelievable house site with later development and rezoning as the property continues to increase in value as the trees mature and the motorway (freeway) is completed.
